Callan: Wet Job to be released on DVD!

I have just noticed that the TV movie Callan: Wet Job is scheduled for a DVD release in March (28th).

Callan Wet Job

I have the two DVD sets  that Network DVD released (The Monochrome Years and The Colour Years), both of which are fantastic cold war Spy-Fi entertainment. I also have the TV movie, based on the pilot episode. So Wet Job comes as a very pleasing addition to the collection.

I haven’t actually seen it, but if it lives up to the rest of the episodes then it should be a cracking good watch!

R.I.P. John Barry

I have always enjoyed a good movie soundtrack album.

The music that John Barry is most famous for is, of course, excellent (James Bond, Zulu, Born Free, Dances with Wolves to name a few).

However, the two John Barry albums that regularly feature in my playlist are The Quiller Memorandum and The Ipcress File.
Both capture the cold war spy movie feel perfectly and they are two of my all time favourite albums, across any genre.

John Barry, no doubt, touched many peoples lives with his music.

He will be sadly missed, but his legacy will live on!
