Movie Review: Mongol
I went to see Mongol last night.
Fantastic film, and as the mongols are a personal interest of mine it was nice to see that the story was fairly accurate (within the usual film makers tolerances anyway)!
I did manage to see a pirate copy of the movie a couple of weeks ago, but this UK cinema version was far better, with considerably more story to it.
I have already pre-ordered the DVD which is due out in September.
As a side note, while I was waiting to go in, the other screen was starting 15 minutes ahead of mine and was showing The Incredible Hulk. It was quite strange and fascinating to notice that about 99% of the audience that went in to see Hulk was female. There were one or two couples but the rest of the audience (which must have been quite full) was all female, usually in groups of 5 or 6!
It stuck me as odd that a super hero movie (Hulk in particular) would appeal to a female audience so much!
